The Technical Support Librarian position is a tenure-track library faculty line responsible for coordination of the Technical Support Unit at the University of Florida Libraries. The Librarian will supervise the Information Technology Expert in their assigned duties. This position will work closely with the management team in the Acquisitions and Licensing Department, the Cataloging and Metadata Department, the Systems Department, and the Digital Library Center to define and specify requirements for technical support. Reports to the chair of the Acquisitions and Licensing Department, the Technical Support librarian manages networked information resources in a highly collaborative environment that encourages forward-looking experimentation and solutions, focusing on user-centered services.
