			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>ETAG October 21, 2009 Meeting Minutes</p>
<p>Attending: Michele Crump, Colleen Seale, Marina Salcedo, Ellie Bushhousen, Laura Jordan, Ann Lindell, Traveler Wendell, Matthew Daley</p>
<p>1. Announcements – NFAIS Mobility Conference, this day- long webcast will take place on October 30 in Room 419.  ETAG members were encouraged to attend.<br />
2. OLE Project status report – Michele reported that the OLE Project is moving ahead with the completion of the Kuali OLE Project proposal which will be submitted to Mellon in early November.  If all is approved, UF will be the lead school for the Florida Consortium (University of Florida, Florida State University, University of South Florida, New College, University of Central Florida, University of Miami, Rollins College and FCLA) and Bill Covey starting in January will work full-time on the project as FC’s IT Expert and Lead; Judy Russell will serve as FC’s Board member to the Kuali OLE Project; Michele will continue providing processing/workflow information.<br />
3. Kindle Project status – John Ingram continues to work on this project with the intention of providing Kindle DX readers with Springer e-book titles.<br />
4. Digital Literacy Contest was successful with over 45 contestants participating.  Laura reviewed the initial survey results with the group.  Daniel Poynter should provide more detailed analysis of the contest results in the near future.<br />
5. Web page update and Web page broken links – Matthew reported on the initiative to identify broken links on the library web pages.  He will be running reports and notifying staff to update or remove links that no longer point to current information.<br />
6. Other announcements – OPAC Subcommittee has discussed “Quick Articles” and some SUL members are considering adopting.  UF is more interested in Serials Solutions “Summon” and will most likely not promote “Quick Articles”.   </p>
