Merrie, Congratulations!!!! I hope you will be deliriously happy in your new job. Just think of the necessary hand-knitted sweaters you'll need for your four-footed, furry one!!! You'll have fun knitting to your heart's content.
Start a coat, hat, glove, and scarf collection right away. Every day, listen to the weather and choose your coat, hat, scarf and gloves accordingly. That's the secret of keeping warm and healthy (aside from all the hand-washing.) !!!!!!!!

They are PDF files, so they can be read on a computer -- Mac, PC, Linux, etc. Mobile phones that will read PDFs, but not Kindles, unfortunately. I'm not sure if APA is in discussions with Amazon, but I'll check into it.

Do you mean the books are squished in the compact shelving? Or that the entire library is too crowded? I'm quite interested in your experience in the library.

We have several other libraries that some students find more interesting, comfortable, inviting, enticing, etc. If you go to the library just to the east of Library West, there is a building called Library East (how creative :)

On the second floor is a beautiful room (Special Collections) -- it looks like an upside down wooden ship hull. Other people like to study in our Art & Architecture Library. We hope there is a library that fits each person.

I was in there only once, visiting my uncle who had returned to school. I found it unremarkable, typical of most college libraries I have spent time in. Function over form. A bit squished.

Ravelry.com includes people who are knowledgeable about the history, variations in different ethnic groups, art, and tools in relation to knitting, crochet, spinning, weaving, and a bit about sewing . You can ask questions and get answers about almost everything. Plus patterns for anything you'd like to make. It's amazing!
